It's done. Four regions, four Last Chance Qualifiers, four tickets — and with the final one stamped this weekend, the Rocket League World Championship 2026 has its complete 20-team field. Sixteen teams qualified on RLCS Points across the season. The other four fought through the LCQ gauntlet. Here's who got the last seats, plus the complete Fort Worth field and opening Play-In matchups.
The four LCQ winners
MENA — R8 Esports
First ticket punched. R8 Esports were the overall favorites of the MENA LCQ and they played like it, closing out the Grand Final with a 4-0 sweep to book the region's third Worlds seat. Abdullah, Ghaazi, and M7md now join Twisted Minds and Team Falcons in making it a joint-record three-team MENA contingent in Fort Worth, matching 2025.
SAM — Bigodes
South America's LCQ went to Bigodes, giving SAM a third representative alongside MIBR and FURIA. Bigodes recovered from a 4-0 playoff loss to BS+COMPETITION, returned through the lower side, and beat the same opponent 4-3 in the Grand Final. SAM also sent three teams in 2025.
NA — FUT Esports
The North American LCQ delivered the cleanest closing statement of the weekend. FUT Esports got through M80 and then crushed Gen.G 4-1 in the Grand Final to grab NA's fifth and final seat. That is worth sitting with for a second: five North American teams will play this Worlds on home soil.
EU — Mate y Tapa
The most brutal bracket produced the most cinematic finish. The European LCQ drew a reported 681 entrants — a single ticket at the bottom of the deepest region in the world — and the survivor was Mate y Tapa, who edged Volare 4-3 in the Grand Final. The roster carries a great subplot too: former Synergy players ajg and Dorito alongside AtomiK, who lands at Worlds a season after his time with Twisted Minds. From 681 teams to the biggest stage in the sport.
One more loose end: the OCE tiebreaker
The May preview left Oceania's seat unresolved, and it came down to a tiebreaker to settle which team would take the region's guaranteed berth. Wildcard beat PWR 4-1 to claim OCE's single Worlds slot and the final points-path place in the field.
A correction to our own preview
When we previewed the field back in May, we had Five Fears mislabeled as an APAC qualifier, omitted Virtus.pro's already-clinched NA #4 berth, ordered several regional seeds incorrectly, and projected the fourth LCQ region incorrectly. The final field cleans that up: Five Fears represent Sub-Saharan Africa, TSM carry the APAC banner, Virtus.pro hold NA #4, and SAM received the fourth LCQ place. Consider the record corrected.

The opening Play-In matchups
The complete playoff bracket is not set yet. Eight teams begin in a GSL-style Play-In, with four advancing to the Group Stage. The opening matches are:

What the field tells us
Europe is, once again, the deepest region on Earth. Six seats, and the three at the top — Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, Team Vitality — are all live title threats. That Mate y Tapa had to emerge from a 681-team field just to become Europe's sixth-seeded qualifier is a little absurd, and entirely on brand.
North America gets five teams and a home crowd. That is the single biggest structural advantage in this field. Defending champions NRG headline, Shopify Rebellion arrive as the region's form pick after a Paris semifinal run, and Virtus.pro, Spacestation, and FUT round out a contingent playing on home soil.
MENA matches its previous high with three teams. Twisted Minds reached the Paris final, Team Falcons remain dangerous, and R8 Esports swept the LCQ Grand Final. This is no longer a region you pencil in for a group-stage exit.
The single-seat regions are playing spoiler, not passenger. Wildcard, TSM, and Five Fears each earned their spot. Wildcard advances directly to the Group Stage, while TSM and Five Fears begin in the Play-In. After those stages, the top 12 enter a hybrid-elimination playoff.
Next stop: Fort Worth
Sixteen points-path qualifiers — including Wildcard via the OCE tiebreaker — and four LCQ winners make up the field. The World Championship runs September 15-20 at Dickies Arena with a $1.2 million 3v3 prize pool. Separate $85,000 1v1 and $170,000 2v2 World Championships run alongside it. The field is set. Now we wait — and argue about who's actually going to win it.
