Worlds 2026: The Complete Fort Worth Preview

Six days. Twenty teams. Three competitive modes. The 2026 Rocket League World Championship begins September 15 and ends September 20 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, with $1.2 million attached to the main 3v3 tournament and the defending World Champions playing on home soil.

We have spent the summer building toward this field — from the Last Chance Qualifiers to Falcons' EWC win. Now the qualifiers and projections stop. Here is the format, every starting roster, the prize structure, and the teams with the strongest claim to the trophy.

How the six days work

September 15 is an eight-team GSL-style Play-In. Every series is best-of-five; two wins advance and two losses eliminate. Four teams leave the Play-In for the Group Stage, completing a 16-team field. Our separate recap covers every opening-day result.

The Group Stage runs September 16-17. Four groups of four play a single round robin, so every team gets three best-of-five series. Each group winner reaches the upper side of the playoff bracket. Second and third enter the lower side. Fourth is eliminated. After overall match record, ties are separated by match record against the tied teams, game differential against those teams, overall game differential, goal differential against the tied teams, overall goal differential, and finally initial seed.

The final 12 move into a hybrid-elimination playoff from September 18-20, with every series best-of-seven. The four group winners begin with a second chance available before the final four; seeds five through 12 enter immediate elimination matches. The first three days are closed competition. Dickies Arena opens to fans for the final three.

The 20 starting teams and rosters

Europe

  • Karmine Corp: Vatira, Atow., juicy
  • Gentle Mates: Archie, nass, Oski
  • Team Vitality: zen, ExoTiiK, stizzy
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas: Joreuz, crr, oaly.
  • Manchester City Esports: Seikoo, ejby, accro
  • Mate y Tapa: ajg, Dorito, AtomiK

North America

  • NRG: Atomic, BeastMode, Daniel
  • Shopify Rebellion: Firstkiller, kofyr, Lj
  • Spacestation Gaming: diaz, reveal, zach
  • Virtus.pro: 2Piece, Tawk, Wahvey
  • FUT Esports: jstn., Chronic, CHEESE.

MENA, South America, and the single-seat regions

  • Twisted Minds: Nwpo, M0nkey M00n, trk511
  • Team Falcons: Rw9, Kiileerrz, dralii
  • R8 Esports: Abdullah, M7md, Ghaazi
  • MIBR: Sad, Reysbull, Aztrø
  • FURIA: yANXNZ, Lostt, swiftt
  • Bigodes: nxghtt, DRUFINHO, Bemmz
  • Wildcard: Torsos, Fever, bananahead
  • TSM: Kevin, Catalysm, Sphinx
  • Five Fears: tehqoz, Snowyy, gunz

That is six European teams, five from North America, three each from MENA and South America, and one apiece from Oceania, APAC, and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is the entire starting field, not a list of teams guaranteed to reach groups; eight began in the Play-In and only four could survive opening day.

The Group Stage assignments

With Falcons, Virtus.pro, FUT, and Bigodes through the Play-In, the official groups are complete:

  • Group A: Karmine Corp, Team Falcons, MIBR, Spacestation Gaming
  • Group B: Twisted Minds, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FURIA, FUT Esports
  • Group C: Manchester City Esports, NRG, Shopify Rebellion, Bigodes
  • Group D: Gentle Mates, Team Vitality, Wildcard, Virtus.pro

Group A immediately puts the reigning EWC finalists in the same room: Falcons won that Grand Final 4-0 after Spacestation reached it through two Game 7 playoff wins. Group D creates a different test, placing Boston champion Gentle Mates beside Vitality and an unbeaten Play-In qualifier in Virtus.pro. Every team gets three series, but only the group winner earns the safer playoff entry.

The title tier

Karmine Corp own the season's deepest résumé. They won the inaugural Kick-Off Weekend, two European Opens, and the Paris Major. Vatira enters after winning MVP and Defensive Player of the Year at the First Touch awards. The gap is the same one that has followed KC all year: this organization has not won Worlds.

Gentle Mates supply the other Major title after winning Boston. NRG bring the trophy everyone else wants; Atomic, BeastMode, and Daniel won the 2025 World Championship in Lyon and now defend it in the United States.

Then there are Team Falcons, the form team of the final month. They swept Karmine Corp and Spacestation on the last day of EWC, winning eight straight games across the semifinal and Grand Final. Worlds forces them through the Play-In because qualification follows the RLCS points structure, not the latest power ranking. No lower seed will attract more attention.

Twisted Minds reached the Paris final, while Spacestation took second at EWC after beating KC in groups and surviving two Game 7s in playoffs. Team Vitality, Shopify Rebellion, and NiP have all shown enough ceiling to turn a strong group into a serious run. Calling this a one-favorite tournament would be pretending the summer did not happen.

The money

  • 1st: $300,000
  • 2nd: $153,000
  • 3rd-4th: $99,000 each
  • 5th-6th: $84,000 each
  • 7th-8th: $66,000 each
  • 9th-12th: $37,500 each
  • 13th-16th: $17,250 each
  • 17th-18th: $9,000 each
  • 19th-20th: $6,000 each

Those figures total the fixed $1.2 million 3v3 pool. The World Championship Community Bundle adds a separate, sales-funded distribution for teams and player awards, but no final bundle revenue is known yet.

Three championships in one building

Fort Worth will also crown the second 1v1 World Champion and the first official RLCS 2v2 World Champions. Both are four-entry, single-elimination brackets played alongside the main event. The 1v1 final lands September 18; the 2v2 final follows September 19. We have the full brackets in our 1v1 and 2v2 preview.

The Fort Worth question

This is the third World Championship staged in Fort Worth. M0nkey M00n won the previous two at Dickies Arena with Team BDS, in 2021-22 and 2024; now he returns with Twisted Minds. NRG have the home defense. KC have the season résumé. Falcons have the latest trophy. Everyone else has six days to make those narratives useless.

That is what this format is built to do. The Play-In punishes a slow start, groups reward consistency, and the hybrid bracket gives the four group winners a real advantage without protecting anyone all the way to the final. By Sunday, one roster will have survived every version of the tournament. That roster gets $300,000, Rocket League's biggest title, and the last word on 2026.
